What are the internal means of control being relied upon to prevent theft in the store? What external means of control are being relied upon? Which methods are most effective, internal or external? It may seem silly to analyze the obvious, but challenging the obvious is an important component of sociological pursuits: Consider activities which you complete habitually (brushing your teeth or hair, showering - the routines of your day). Why do you complete these activities? How would you feel if you didn't do these things? How do you think your peers or society would view you if you didn't do these things?
